They're in the news because Target started selling a women's version recently. Except instead of bell-bottoms, they're calling them "Extreme Flare Jeans."
Google Trends says the phrase "Are bell-bottoms back in style?" is trending right now. It's the #1 "back in style" search this week . . . followed by "Are fanny packs back in style?" The rest of the top five are banana clips, Uggs, and Members Only jackets.
