If you're in your 20s, 30s, and 40s, you probably remember your parents telling you to shut down the video games and go play outside.
Now, you may be parents yourselves, and you're having to work even harder to get YOUR kids out of their rooms, because it's not JUST video games . . . these days there's also Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, and other social media.
According to a new poll, the average parent thinks their child could only keep themselves entertained outside for 32 MINUTES before getting bored.
Technology gets a lot of the blame. And we ALL might get too wrapped up in stuff like Netflix and our phones.
72% of parents admit their family as a whole doesn't go outside enough . . . even though 63% say their kids seem happier after playing outside.
And some good ways to get your kids outside include: Planning family outings . . . trading computer or TV time for outdoor play . . . walking the dog together . . . going on nature-oriented vacations . . . and sending them to summer camp.
