The entire point of escalators is that they do the walking for you. So why do some people feel the need to walk up them? They're always bumping into people like me who just want to enjoy the ride.
So should people be BANNED from walking up or down escalators? At least one place says yes. The Saitama district just outside of Tokyo, Japan just banned walking on escalators.
Their goal is to get rid of all the bumping and cut down on the number of people getting hurt by moving on escalators.
