I never would have thought that at my age I would be getting up early on a Saturday to go flower shopping for my flower garden. Didn't even think I'd have a flower garden! But, that's what happened this past Saturday morning!
I went over to Johnson's Garden Center for their Easter Egg Hunt. They had eggs planted everywhere and you could get good discounts depending on what egg you found. What I was most excited for was to buy some plants to keep those dang mosquitoes away! They eat me up in the summer time! So as I'm walking around I spotted something that I just knew I had to have! It was a metal lawn sculpture of what appeared to be a flamingo but I think it looks like an ostrich. I just knew I had to have it! I bough some pretty purple flowers to put inside it and consider it to be my win of the day!
When I got home I told my fiance to come outside and see our new lawn decor. Needless to say he gave me a little side eye about it but I'm lucky to have someone that accepts my weirdness and he eventual said he like it too! Haha!
So now we have named him Gerald and he is the battle ostrich that watches over our home when we are gone and we love him! Oh and I only got ate up by like a dozen mosquitoes while putting him up!
