Joe Jonas avoided singing one lyric while performing DNCE's popular hit song, "Cake By The Ocean," in France.
The original lyrics in the song "Cake By The Ocean" say, "Walk for me, baby. I'll be Diddy, you'll be Naomi," but during DNCE's stop in Paris, Jonas was captured on video changing the lyrics to, "Walk for me, baby. I'll be watching you be Naomi."
The original lyrics reference the rumored relationship between Diddy and supermodel Naomi Campbell in the early 2000s.
The lyric change comes as Sean "Diddy" Combs faces a slew of charges, such as racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. As well as facing new allegations since his arrest last month.
The 35-year-old singer is not the first artist to change up lyrics that pertain to Diddy. During an appearance at Coachella, Kesha changed the opening to one of her biggest hits, "Tik-Tok" to say, ""Wake up in the mornin' saying f--- P. Diddy."
Warning: The following video has explicit language.
She also recently posted a video with what seems like a new recorded version of "Tik-Tok" with the updated lyrics. You can see the video HERE.
The original opening lyrics say, "Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy." However, Kesha revealed on X, formally known as Twitter, that she plans to permanently change the lyrics as soon as she legally can.
