51% of People Say It "Crushes Their Soul" Every Time They Get a Work Email

You know what I like about this survey? How it's not over dramatic.

51% of people in a new survey say every time they get a work email it, quote, "CRUSHES THEIR SOUL."

The survey was run by Slack, which has a horse in the race, since their app is trying to basically replace email with messaging and they're sort of pulling it off. But still . . . "CRUSHES THEIR SOUL"?

The top three complaints people have about email are: It's too formal . . . it makes it hard to figure out what to prioritize . . . and it makes people feel less connected to their coworkers when they use it.

And half of people say they've been sending fewer emails since the start of the pandemic last year and using other apps to communicate more.
